Terms of Consignment - Consignor Contract

Thank you for choosing Encore Equestrian to sell your, gently used quality equestrian tack and clothing! We accept a wide variety of equestrian products on consignment, including: saddles, bridles, blankets, show clothing, boots, jackets, etc. We do not accept riding helmets.

Encore Equestrian reserves the right to refuse items we feel are unsafe or unmarketable.  If the item has been shipped to Encore Equestrian, it is the responsibility of the consignor to pay for return shipping if required.

Wish list:

·         Saddles - High quality, made of leather

          ** We will accept synthetic saddles in perfect condition                                                                             

·         Show clothing - Jackets, Breeches, Show Shirts

·         Boots - Field Boots, Dressage Boots, Paddock Boots

·         Blankets - Fly Sheets, Rain Sheets, Coolers, Quarter Sheets

·         Bridles – Miscellaneous leather products

                **i.e. - Martingales, Reins, etc

 

Consignment Fees

Condition of Items

Consignment items must be:

• clean

• free of holes, tears, stains, excessive wear, or damage

• in ‘good’ to ‘excellent’ condition

• Consigned by legal owner

**Please note any items needing cleaning will incur additional charges.

Pricing Considerations for Consignment Items

Encore Equestrian uses the following pricing criteria:

• your suggested selling price

• the selling price of similar items

• the condition of the item

• the manufacturer

• the demand for the item

• the retail price of this item in new condition

Encore Equestrian reserves the right to adjust the pricing over time in order to ensure the highest possible return. The consignor will be notified of pricing discounts prior to adjustment. **The consignment split will be based on the price that the item was SOLD – meaning after any reductions, discounts, sales and/or promotions.

Consignor Payouts

Consignor payout checks will be mailed 30 days after the item(s) sell.

Saddle Trials

Saddles may go out on a 7-day trial as long as they are paid for in full before leaving the store.  Saddles can be returned in the original condition within 7 days for a full refund .

Sales Period

Items will be displayed for sale by Encore Equestrian for up to 6 months.  After the initial 3 months, if the item(s) hasn’t sold, the price of the item(s) will be adjusted (reduced) as mutually agreed upon by consignor and Encore Equestrian. If an item does not sell during the 6 month period, the consignor will be notified that the item is ready for pick up.  Items not picked up within 2 weeks of notification become the property of Encore Equestrian.  Unsold items will either be donated or sold* (*deeply discounted) with the consignor’s proceeds going to a charity within the equestrian community.

Consignment Return Policy

Consignment sales may be returned in original condition within 7 days of purchase for a **STORE CREDIT**.

**EXCEPT SADDLES** -All sales on saddles are FINAL.
